MARINE DIVING & HULL SERVICES

RESTORING VESSEL PERFORMANCE BELOW THE WATERLINE

From hull cleaning and underwater inspections to emergency diving operations, NaviTide helps vessel owners and operators improve performance, minimize downtime, and maintain operational readiness.

WHAT WE DO

SOLUTIONS THAT KEEP THE VESSELS MOVING

Our diving teams support commercial vessels with underwater services that improve efficiency, support compliance, and help keep operations moving.

Hull Cleaning

Full hull cleaning from light slime to heavy barnacle and weed removal using rotary brush systems, ultra-high pressure water jetting, and hand tools — adapted to each coating type.

HOW WE DIFFER

The Foundation of Vessel Performance

What happens below the waterline influences fuel efficiency, vessel speed, maintenance costs, and operational readiness. Regular underwater maintenance helps keep vessels performing at their best.

WHY IT MATTERS

The Hidden Cost of Poor Vessel Maintenance

Regular underwater maintenance helps reduce
operating costs, improve vessel performance, and maintain inspection readiness.

SEE THE DIFFERENCE

Same Vessel, Very Different Performance

What accumulates below the waterline directly impacts fuel burn, speed, and operational efficiency. The difference is visible and measurable.

Cleaning Before Cleaning After
Before
After

For every tonne of fuel saved through regular hull cleaning, approximately 3 tonnes of CO₂ emissions are avoided.

A well-maintained container vessel can reduce its annual CO₂ emissions by up to 8,000 tonnes through improved hull efficiency.

FAQS

COMMON QUESTIONS

Every project represents our commitment to operational excellence, safety, and reliable execution in challenging maritime environments.

1. Which areas of a vessel can be cleaned underwater?

Depending on vessel condition and operational requirements, cleaning can cover the hull, sea chests, gratings, rudder, propeller and other accessible underwater appendages.

Yes. Where port regulations, vessel condition and operating conditions permit, underwater cleaning can be performed while the vessel is afloat, helping avoid unnecessary dry-docking and associated downtime.

Typically, we require the vessel name and type, port/location, ETA and ETD, scope of work, relevant vessel particulars, and details or photographs of any known damage or areas requiring attention.

Each operation is planned according to the specific scope, vessel and site conditions. Appropriate risk assessments, diving procedures, equipment checks, communication arrangements and emergency measures are established before work begins.

Yes, entire diving operation is well documented right from Permit to work and all the way to Customer Satisfaction document including but not limited to daily progress report along with CCTV recording before and after cleaning operations.

Where conditions and the agreed scope permit, inspection and cleaning activities can be coordinated during the same attendance, reducing the need for multiple service visits.

Yes. NaviTide provides rapid-response commercial diving support for urgent underwater inspections, cleaning and repair requirements, subject to diver availability, port permissions, weather and safe operating conditions.
